This index is intended to help family researchers locate information on ancestors who may have lived in the Town of Harmony. Following each name in the index is an alpha-numeric code to indicate the origin of that record. The key to the code is on the following page. Some sources can only be accessed through the office of the town clerk……………..

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Town of Harmony for making so many of these records available to me. A special thanks goes to Brenda Ireland, Town Clerk, and Larissa Enlow, Deputy Town Clerk, without whose help this project would never have gotten off the ground. I also have to thank Wayne Learner for allowing me to use company time to work on this project and for also allowing me to use his computer expertise and ideas for completion of this index…………..

The following people also added greatly with their input… ……….. Sally Carlson -Town Clerk, Town of North Harmony …………….. Sue Harrower -Panama Baptist Church ……………….. Evelyn Crosby -Niobe Baptist Church ……………….Irene Nagel -Panama Methodist Church ……………….Willis Waite -family records and Harmony Historical Society records ……………..Richard Shiel -Harmony names from the 1854 map and from the 1867 Atlas Index published by CCGS ………………
